This painting began its life as a background for a figure painting. However, as it unfolded, I realized it was too dynamic to serve its original purpose—it risked overshadowing the central figure. For the first time, I worked on an abstract solely with oil paint, stepping away from my usual oil and cold wax combination. The evolution of this piece became an exploration, using varied tools to create layers and effects. What emerged was something unexpectedly special, a piece that speaks to me deeply and has earned a place in my personal top 10 favorites.
